About Alex -

Alex Dowsett needs little introduction, a British pro cyclist who joins UCI WorldTeam Team Katusha Alpecin for 2018. He is a renowned time-trial specialist who can win GC in the shorter stage races. Alex is unique in he has Haemophilia and is the only elite professional athlete in the World with the condition. He established Little Bleeders, a charity which supports young people with blood disorders.

In 2015 Alex broke track cycling's prestigious World Hour record by 446 metres in with a distance of 52.937 kilometres and another crack at this coveted title is on his To-Do list for the future.

Now racing in the famous red and pale blue livery of the Katusha Alpecin Pro Cycling team Alex will be a valuable asset to superstar sprinter Marcel Kittel while targeting his own personal goals for the season under a new team structure.

A 5 time British National TT Champion Alex has a hugely impressive palmarès including winning the overall GC in the Bayern-Rundfahrt in 2015 and the TT stages of the Giro d’Italia in 2013 and brings a wealth of experience to Katusha Alpecin to pass down to the younger members of this increasingly international team.
