WORKLOAD ABSORBTION
I particularly like GC racing as I have found that this has been a strength of mine. Last year I set a
new national 10 mile (16km) junior women’s record, with a time of 21 minutes and 22 seconds. In the
future, I have aspirations of competing in the Tour de France Femmes as I see myself developing to
be a GC rider.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS \
- Main strength = sustained power
~8min to ~30min (high level of fatigue resistance, i.e. her decrease in performance after high blocks of work (1500kj+) is at a excellent level for a rider who is in 2nd yr junior)
- Workload Absorption
Reflected in ability to be consistent in her training over the year – injury and illness free – and also her recovery in stage racing.
- Longer TT’s
Excels in TT’s on undulating terrain. She has both the absolute power and the relative power (w/kg) to perform at the highest level in the world as a junior in this terrain.
- Handling / Versatility
Background within off road cycling in the youth and junior category (riding CX and MTB – National and regional champion) has given her excellent peloton skills and confidence to be able to perform over multiple terrains. This unique ability to be able to race at a high level in both the Belgium style races or longer mountainous terrain shows her versatility
- Future Potential
Developing into an excellent stage race rider in the future building on her ability to perform in longer TT’s and climbs – which will have a crucial role in Professional women’s cycling in the coming years.
